Finally Im using Google Wave---- murthy.polymath@googlewave.com

From the past one month or so "Google wave" is one of those words which is frequently used by some of my friends..i first came across this
in Google news about 3 months back ... One should admit that this has
been a big success for Google...
After its release, initially 100000 members were invited by the google team....and from then people started putting up tag's and captions on various social networking sites like facebook and orkut.....yeah why not?? they should feel happy for that....Now this is some info on what this product actually is...
Google Wave is a product that helps users communicate and collaborate on the web. A "wave" is equal parts conversation and document, where users can almost instantly communicate and work together with richly formatted text, photos, videos, maps, and more. Google Wave is also a platform with a rich set of open APIs that allow developers to embed waves in other web services and to build extensions that work inside waves.

I have heard that this is an open source product and is developed using JAVA...i want to explore this as soon as possible..but for now i have very few friends with a google wave account....sooner or later when i have enough number of people with a google wave account , i can find this more interesting...until then my wait continues...

Always let your boss have the first say

A sales rep, an administration clerk, and the manager are walking to lunch when they find an antique oil lamp.

They rub it and a Genie comes out.

The Genie says, 'I'll give each of you just one wish.'

'Me first! Me first!' says the admin clerk 'I want to be in the Bahamas , driving a speedboat, without a care in the world.'

Puff! She's gone.

'Me next! Me next!' says the sales rep. 'I want to be in Hawaii , relaxing on the beach with my personal masseuse, an endless supply of Pina Coladas and the love of my life.'

Puff! He's gone..

'OK, you're up,' the Genie says to the manager.
The manager says, 'I want those two back in the office after lunch'

Moral of the story:
Always let your boss have the first say.

Murthy - Now a Sun Certified JAVA Programmer

Sun Certified JAVA Programmer---I first heard about this tag from my mentor and one of my favourite teachers Raju sir, when i attended the java[Core] course in datapro....He said that it was a good certification exam to take ....I felt like taking the exam as soon as i heard him saying that....Java has been my favourite programming languages uptil now...and i loved working on the Java platform...I took the voucher for this examination and started working on java from the past 7 months or so....and im feeling really confident and good about my self when it comes to programming in java...
After many weeks of waiting i finally took my Sun certification exam on 8th november and yeah i cleared the exam with 93 percentile marks...Its easy to clear the exam as we have these set of dumps for each and every certification exam...But i felt really good about myself because i have done a considerable amount of work using the java platform and already completed doing 2 projects using the java platform...
Im planning to take the Microsoft certification next in hardware and networking which may take another 8 months of time.

Imagine TATA Docomo's diet SMS along with Number Portability

Tata DOCOMO has announced another innovative offer - "Diet-SMS".This offer will give customers the never-before option of paying for any SMS they send on a per-character pricing plan. The cost of any ‘diet-sms’ will be only 1 paise per character used, thereby providing complete value to customers. Furthermore, there will be no charge for spaces between words. The Best and Unique part of the offer is that any customer can choose the Diet-SMS option when he/she has short text messages to send—he/she can continue to use the regular SMS option for longer SMS. However there is a catch here - In the diet-sms service, each SMS merely costs you 1 paisa per character, up to a maximum of 15 characters. These offers are really very catchy and i guess youth will definitely turn on to docomo once we have the number portability service coming into action.......with the help of these two a person need not change his number and still use a service of his choice...

Im worried about Yahoo

I always had a dream that some day or the other i will clear the interview for getting placed in yahoo and shout aloud saying "Yahooooooo i got placed in Yahoo Inc".....but now im very much worried about the fate of the company....its not doing anything innovative and trying to just follow wat others are doing at present......all this started off when yahoo tried to copy twitter - which is considered to be the grand daddy of microblogging with more than 44.5 million users across the world.....by releasing its microblogging site named "Meme" (in spanish and portuguese but now we have it in english(uk) also...)...... This turned out to be a big failure....
With social networking sites like "Face book" and "Orkut" which have become the heart throbe of both youth and the aged in almost all the countries , Yahoo Inc tried its hand through "SpotM".....which was another failure....Im worried about the fate of the company as the number of users using MSN messenger have increased when compared to yahoo (which has nearly 285 million user base)....Yahoo Inc should look at some innovative approach and should not take the road that is taken by all other companies....lets hope yahoo will bounce back with some surprise package and keep the hopes of millions of aspirants alive.....Hail Yahoo Inc.....

Me and Vikas--- Victory at sea

Vikas was out today evening to meet some of his friends....
I was planning to buy a Micro SD for my father and i was getting ready to go out...i just called him up to ask if he could join me... he said he was near beach...... he asked me to join him at Windy's restaurent in beach....i hesitated but later felt like going there...suddenly it started raining heavily and i had to forego my plan.....i came back home ....after 10 mins....my cell started shouting ------"Haule Haule hojaaayega pyaar"----never mind thats my ringtone...
when i picked up the phone it was him...wen i started speaking i felt his voice shivering with fear and loads of tension...he had hit the central court Judge's car....(when the road gets wet even when u apply the breaks the bike hardly stays in your control)....i rushed there within 10 mins and on my way i was worried and thinking how to handle the situation.... both of us, with our friend's help some how managed to bear the amount.........we were lucky the driver was a real kind man at heart and spoke well with us...Later we had carrot juice in mvp(some one said that you will get a glow in your face if u drink that...he he ...yeah we are a bit conscious about our looks......lol).....and had a great time after that.......this remains as one of the sweet memories that i had with my best buddy.........thank god we did not have any trouble today..

Cloud computing

After recession i felt that cloud computing would be next big threat to all the software firms in our country....the SaaS approach will definitely create a rapid revolution in the coming years....
but after i read that wipro teamed up with Oracle - the leading middleware manufacturer which recently had Sun microsystems in its pouch , i felt real good about the future of Indian Software companies...they are planning to use the multitenant approach.....and theres already a service named as vCloud Express which is under development.... the beta version of the software is being planning to be released ..........yeah i know its going to take real long time......so lets look forward for this....

College from tomorrow.

My day started today at 10 o clock when i shouted for "BOOOOOST" as soon as a woke up.....
after finishing things up late last night(early today morning to be more precise) i had a great sleep last night..........when i drank my first sip of boost i started thinking about today's program....suddenly i felt sad beacause all the enjoyment that im having from the past 3 days ends up today.....from tomorrow again i need to go to college wake up early in the morning ...all the routine stuff....CAT classes for the first 3 days ...phew a very hectic schedule.......im sure within very few days from now we have all this records and stuff (screw those ppl who proposed this record writing idea in a student's academic life).....its going to be another one month of solid ahem ahem.....im trying not to use the "f" word again and again......ALL the enjoyment that i had from the past 3 days ends with today....thanks to Vikas for his company without which i would have been doomed.....

IBM "mini" Project

Finally i had completed 70 percent of the work required for my project ....i hope my team mate and my senior JK would join me soon....this is my first project for a company's sake and im really excited about it....im looking forward for designing the first prototype of the project and sending it to Praveen anna....
I came across a new software called as team viewer and it is really very usefull...... well i was told regarding that software by my senior...u can access u r friends desktop sitting at u r own place....i donno wat to call this as..yeah dont say "remote assistance and blah blah"..but when i saw my senior do that to my desktop i found the idea really amazing and its really very catchy.......a must have software for all the team members.....hats off to the person who developed it....

Yahoo's meme

well i couldnt control my laughter after i read the news regarding yahoos "meme"...a microblogging service...the name is so wierd...meme kya hota hain doston?????
any ways i personally feel this will stand no where in front of twitter which has more than 45 million users at present....im hoping that yahoo comes up with something new and innovative....

Y not me???

Now a days i find every Tom Dick and Harry start writing a blog and share their feelings with others...so i just felt like starting one for myself and share my day to day experiances with my friends....this is my first blog and im excited typing every single alphabet.....
